Role Summary:

The HR Manager is responsible for the overall aspects of HR, including recruitment, training, compensation management, benefits administration and compliance as well as playing a key role in shaping the group’s workforce strategy, supporting operational excellence and ensuring high standards of compliance, governance and employee engagement across all project sites and corporate functions.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. HR Operations
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and best practices to align with the Group’s vision and values.
  • Ensure consistency in HR processes and documentation standards and continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and control.

 

  1. Recruitment & Talent Management
  • Managing the recruitment process, including job postings and sourcing, screening, interviewing and facilitating new employee orientation program.
  • Utilize recruitment strategies to attract skilled workers including partnership with agencies and job fairs.
  • Support succession planning initiatives and development of internal talent pipelines.

 

  1. Compensation & Benefits
  • Develop salary structure, compensation and benefit strategies that are competitive and compliant with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Administering payroll and managing staff welfare programs.

 

  1. Employee Relations & Engagement
  • Ensure effective employee relation, grievance handling, disciplinary process and supporting managers in difficult conversations.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives designed to increase retention and support a positive and inclusive work culture.

 

  1. Performance Management
  • Conduct periodical performance reviews and performance management initiatives and provide feedback to employees.
  • Support managers in executing performance evaluations and PIPs.

 

  1. Learning and Development
  • Support training and development initiatives to enhance employee performance and competency.
  • Assist in the sourcing and liaising with training providers and coordinate both internal and external programmes.
  • Provide coaching and guidance in building an efficient and competent HR team.

 

  1. Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure full compliance with labour laws, health and safety regulations and Group’s policies.
  • Lead audits, HR risk assessments and implement corrective action plans.

 

  1. Administrative Duties
  • Maintaining proper and accurate HR records and documentation and ensuring data privacy and confidentiality.
  • Liaise with Labour Office and relevant authorities to ensure statutory compliance.

 

  1. General
  • Any other ad hoc duties or responsibilities as may be reasonably assigned by the management from time to time.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 7 to10 years of HR experience with exposure to both strategic and operational roles.
  • Fluent in English, Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Well-versed in Malaysian Employment Act and HR best practices.
  • Skilled in recruitment, compensation and benefits, employee relations and talent management.
  • Proven experience in HR systems and KPI-driven performance management.
  • Experience in handling foreign workers is required.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • High integrity, proactive and result-oriented person.
  • Experience in construction or property development is an added advantage.
